Swami Sri Govindananda Saraswati Ji openly exposed and condemned the unauthorized activities of Sringeri Math, Sri Bharati Tirtha Ji, and the self-proclaimed Peethadheeshwar Vidyushekhar Bharati. Shri Govindananda Saraswati, while explaining and exposing the fraudulent activities of Vidhusekhar, said that the purpose of Vidhusekhar Bharati’s visit to Delhi was nothing but to influence the SC and other courts through political influence and to try to escape from the SC contempt and other service court cases against them with the influence of political leaders.

At the scholars’ assembly held on 2 November 2025 at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, Pandit Sabha, Sri Govindananda Saraswati strongly condemned the unrighteous behaviour and un-Vedic conduct of Sringeri Sri Bharati Tirtha and Vidyushekhara.
Regarding the matter of the purification of the Sringeri Math, he exposed the acts of betrayal taking place there, and explained how Vidyushekhara Bharati, in an unrighteous manner, falsely claims to be a Peethadheeshwar and misleads devotees. He also stated that Sri Bharati Tirtha Swami is committing an unforgivable betrayal against the Sanatana Varna-Ashrama Dharma and Sri Adi Shankaracharya.

Recently, on 23rd November 2025, Vidyushekhar Bharati visited SLBSNSU, presenting himself falsely as a Jagadguru and misleading the university, scholars, devotees, the public, and even government bodies by misusing the sacred title of Shankaracharya.
In response, Swami Sri Govindananda Saraswati Ji, during his visit to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, Delhi, on 2nd November 2025, openly exposed and condemned the unauthorized activities of Sringeri Math, Sri Bharati Tirtha Ji, and the self-proclaimed Peethadheeshwar Vidyushekhar Bharati.
He clearly explained how Vidyushekhar has been misrepresenting himself, deceiving innocent people simply by wearing the dress of a monk. Respecting a sānyāsī is natural for every householder—but that respect cannot be misused to cheat the public.
Swami Govindananda Saraswati further stated that both Vidyushekhar Bharati and Sri Bharati Tirtha Swami are engaging in un-Vedic behaviour, committing acts against Sanātana Dharma, Varna–Ashrama Dharma, and the sacred legacy of Sri Adi Shankaracharya and his Mathamnaya Mahanushasanam

A significant legal challenge has been brought before the Principal Civil Judge and JMFC Court, Hosapete, involving one of the most revered institutions of Hindu monastic tradition — the Sringeri Sharada Peetham. The petitioner, Swami Sri Govindananda Saraswati Swamiji a disciple in the lineage of Badari, Dwaraka Jagadguru Shankaracharya, has filed a civil case alleging unauthorized use of the titles “Jagadguru” and “Shankaracharya” by Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati of Sringeri.
The case has been registered under Case Number: O.S./0000031/2025 (CNR No: KABI410004632025) and is scheduled for its next hearing on 5th July, 2025, before the Principal Civil Judge and JMFC, Hosapete.

Core Allegations:
Sri Govindananda Saraswati Swamiji has claimed:
The Sringeri Math is in violation of the Mathamnaya Mahanushasanam, a foundational text law act governing Shankaracharya Peethams.
There cannot be two pontiffs (Peethadhipathis) in the same Peetham. Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati’s use of the titles is considered unauthorized while the current pontiff, Sri Bharathi Teertha Swamiji, is still alive and active.
The Sringeri Math has allegedly failed to provide scriptural or legal justification (Pramanas) for dual leadership despite repeated requests and challenges for debate (Shastrartha), which were reportedly declined.
The petitioner has further alleged deception of devotees, public, and authorities through the misuse of religious titles.
Additionally, Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati was declared a defaulter in Rajahmundry and Prayagraj, and has been labeled a “fake baba” in previous disputes.
Court’s Direction:
Earlier, the court had issued a directive to publish the petition notice in all leading newspapers, giving a one-month period for the respondents ( Sringeri ) to reply. The court is now set to hear the matter in full on 05 July 2025.

श्रृङ्गेरी मठ प्रक्षालन-
“2 नवंबर 2025 को दिल्ली में स्थित श्री लाल बहादुर शास्त्री राष्ट्रीय संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय मे स्वामी श्री गोविंदानंद सरस्वती जी की आगमन की अवसर पर श्रृंगेरी मठ, श्री भारती तीर्थ जी और स्वयं घोषित पीठाधीश्वर विधुशेखर भारती की अनधिकृत गतिविधियों की खुलेआम निंदा की। उन्होंने विधुशेखर पर जगद्गुरु होने का स्वयं का दावा करके भक्तों, जनता, संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालयों और अन्य शैक्षणिक संस्थानों, तथा यहां तक कि सरकारी निकायों को गुमराह करने और शंकराचार्य के प्रतिष्ठित पद का दुरुपयोग करने का खंडन किया।”
स्वामी श्री गोविंदानंद सरस्वती जी ने अपने वक्तव्य में कहा कि उन्होंने श्रृंगेरी मठ, श्री भारती तीर्थ जी, और स्वयं घोषित पीठाधीश्वर विद्युशेखर भारती की अनधिकृत गतिविधियों को सामने लाते हुए उनकी निंदा की।
उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि विद्युशेखर (जो हाल ही में 23 नवंबर 2025 को SLBSNSU आए थे) स्वयं को जगद्गुरु के रूप में प्रस्तुत करते हुए भक्तों, जनता, संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालयों जैसे शैक्षणिक संस्थानों, और यहाँ तक कि सरकारी संस्थानों को भी शंकराचार्य के सम्मानित पद का दुरुपयोग कर भ्रमित कर रहे हैं।
स्वामी गोविंदानंद सरस्वती ने कहा कि 2 नवंबर 2025 को लाल बहादुर शास्त्री राष्ट्रीय संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय, दिल्ली की अपनी यात्रा के दौरान उन्होंने इन अनियमितताओं को उजागर किया।

2 नवंबर 2025 को लाल बहादुर शास्त्री राष्ट्रीय संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय की पंडित सभा में, स्वामी गोविंदानंद सरस्वती ने अपने भाषण में कहा कि श्रृंगेरी श्री भारती तीर्थ और विद्युशेखर का आचरण अधार्मिक और अवैदिक है।”
उन्होंने कहा कि श्रृंगेरी मठ के प्रक्षालन के संदर्भ में, मठ के भीतर हो रही कथित छलपूर्ण गतिविधियों को उन्होंने सामने रखा, और बताया कि किस प्रकार विद्युशेखर भारती स्वयं को पीठाधीश्वर बताते हुए भक्तों को भ्रमित कर रहे हैं।
उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि श्री भारती तीर्थ स्वामी सनातन वर्णाश्रम धर्म और श्री आदि शंकराचार्य की परंपरा के प्रति गंभीर विश्वासघात कर रहे हैं।
स्वामी जी के अनुसार जहाँ-जहाँ विद्युशेखर झूठा दावा करते हुए विश्वविद्यालयों और संस्थानों को भ्रमित करने गए, वहाँ-वहाँ स्वामी गोविंदानंद सरस्वती स्वयं गए और उनकी बातों का खंडन किया।
उन्होंने बताया कि 23 नवंबर 2025 को SLBSNSU में विद्युशेखर भारती ने स्वयं को जगद्गुरु बताकर भ्रम फैलाया और शंकराचार्य पद का दुरुपयोग किया।
उत्तर स्वरूप, स्वामी गोविंदानंद सरस्वती जी ने 2 नवंबर 2025 को LBSNSU दिल्ली में इन सभी गतिविधियों की निंदा की और कहा कि विद्युशेखर साधु-वेश का उपयोग कर भोले-भाले लोगों को धोखा देते हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि गृहस्थों के लिए संन्यासी का सम्मान स्वाभाविक है, परन्तु इस सम्मान का दुरुपयोग नहीं होना चाहिए।
स्वामी जी ने यह भी कहा कि विद्युशेखर भारती और श्री भारती तीर्थ स्वामी अवैदिक आचरण कर रहे हैं और सनातन धर्म, वर्णाश्रम धर्म तथा श्री आदि शंकराचार्य के मठाम्नाय महा-नुशासनम की परंपरा के विरुद्ध कार्य कर रहे हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि न्यायालयों में श्रृंगेरी श्री भारती तीर्थ और विद्युशेखर के विरुद्ध मामले चल रहे हैं, यहाँ तक कि सर्वोच्च न्यायालय में अवमानना याचिका भी दायर है, और कर्नाटक के होसपेट में भी इनके विरुद्ध तथा P.A. मुरली (श्रृंगेरी प्रशासक/CEO) के विरुद्ध एक मामला दर्ज है।
उन्होंने मठाम्नाय महा-नुशासनम का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि आदिशंकराचार्य द्वारा स्थापित चारों आम्नाय पीठों का उद्देश्य, शंकराचार्यों के कर्तव्य, वर्तमान स्थिति और भविष्य की चुनौतियों को भी उन्होंने समझाया।
एक दीक्षित शिष्य के रूप में (बदरी और द्वारका जगद्गुरु शंकराचार्य ब्रह्मलीन स्वामी श्री स्वरूपानंद सरस्वती जी के), उन्होंने कहा कि चारों आम्नाय पीठों को आदिशंकराचार्य द्वारा निर्धारित धर्ममार्ग पर चलना सुनिश्चित करना उनका कर्तव्य और उत्तरदायित्व है।

एक एवाभिषेच्यः स्यादन्ते लक्षणसम्मतः ।
तत्तत्पीठे क्रमेणैव न बहु युज्यते क्वचित् ॥ 63॥
अर्थ: किसी भी पीठ पर अभिषिक्त वर्तमान आचार्य के ब्रह्मसिद्धि हो जाने पर ही उस पीठ पर केवल एक ही उपर्युक्त गुणों से युक्त शुद्ध चरित्र वाले विप्र संन्यासी का विधिवतअभिषेक करना चाहिए। एक ही पीठ पर 2 आचार्य या पीठाधिपति या शंकराचार्य नहीं हो सकते, एक पीठ पर एक से अधिक संन्यासियों का अभिषेक करना या नियुक्ति सर्वथा अनुचित एवं निषिद्ध है,
शुचिर्जितेन्द्रियो वेद वेदाङ्गादिविशारदः ।
योगज्ञः सर्वशास्त्राणां स मदास्थानमाप्नुयात् ॥ 59॥
अर्थ : जीवन और चरित्र की पवित्रता’(आंतरिक, बाह्य पवित्रता) इन गुणों वाला व्यक्ति, जिसने वैराग्य (शम, दामादि गुणों) से लोकों को जीत लिया हो, ऋग्वेद आदि वेदों में पारंगत हो,
समस्त शास्त्रों और वेदों के सभी अंगों (वेदांग शिक्षा, कल्प आदि) में निपुण हो, योगज्ञ हो और यम, नियम आदि अष्टांग योग का मर्मज्ञ हो, वही मेरे द्वारा स्थापित पीठों का आचार्य बन सकता है।। 59।।
उक्तलक्षणसम्पन्नः स्याच्चेन्मत्पीठभाग् भवेत् ।
अन्यथारूढपीठोऽपि निग्रहार्हो मनीषिणाम् ॥ 60 ॥
अर्थ : यदि कोई व्यक्ति ऊपर बताए गए गुणों से संपन्न है, तो वह मेरी पीठ में सुशोभित हो सकता है, बैठ सकता है, वह मेरे द्वारा स्थापित पीठ में अभिषेक किया जा सकता है, अन्यथा नहीं। हालांकि, यदि उपरोक्त गुणों से रहित व्यक्ति, अयोग्य व्यक्ति पीठ पर अनधिकृत रूप से अधर्म से कब्जा करता है या अवैध रूप से कब्जा करने की कोशिश करता है तो तुरंत विना विलम्बा ऐसे अनधिकृत, अयोग्य व्यक्ति को तत्काल पदच्युत कर देना चाहिए, उसे “मनीषियों” द्वारा अधिकृत योग्य विद्वानों, विद्वानों, बुद्धिमान लोगों, संतों विद्वत परिषद द्वारा निष्कासित कर देना चाहिए जो सत्य, निष्पक्षता और धर्म के पक्षधर हैं। ।। 60 ।।
